Snowmass Village, Colo., (November 23, 2022) – An iconic winter destination, Snowmass Village, CO offers a variety of seasonal events and activities for guests and locals to experience and enjoy. These include the ever-popular Snowmass S’mores; local favorite Game of Stones curling series; Snowmass Luminescence, Mardi Gras Celebrations; World Cup skiing; and much more.
In addition, The Collective Snowmass, the hub for community activity in Snowmass Base Village, features a robust winter lineup. Programming includes the Snowmass Live Comedy & Music Series, Community Bingo, Chess Club, ACES Wild Perspective series, Live Storytelling with Alya Howe, the return of the Winter Holiday Market & Santa during the holiday season, open mic nights, salsa dancing, Discos on the Rink, karaoke, and more. The Collective also features a free ice-skating rink with free skate rentals and scheduled special performances. The rink is open daily to the public from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., pending weather conditions. Snowmass S’mores: Starting on opening day of ski season (November 19), guests of all ages can enjoy Snowmass S’mores, free starting at 3:30 p.m. daily throughout the winter season, presented by Snowmass Tourism. Guests can find branded s’mores carts (which resemble oversized marshmallows) in Snowmass Base Village and on the Snowmass Mall, featuring delicious s’mores treats. www.gosnowmass.com/activity/snowmass-smores/
Snowmass Luminescence: When the lifts close at Snowmass, things really light up. Snowmass Luminescence, an interactive art and light display presented by Snowmass Tourism and Aspen Snowmass, immerses guests and community members in a dazzling world of light and art, located between Snowmass Base Village and the Snowmass Mall. This winter season features four installations, including the popular Electric Dandelions and Arches Tunnel, with new displays the Transporter and Evolution Field making their debut. Music on the Mall: Every Friday, starting November 25, 2022, through April 14, 2023, Music on Mall returns to Snowmass, featuring live music on the Tower Stage during après. Music on the Mall runs from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in November, December, January, and February and moves to 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in March and April. Snowmass Mountain Mission: The Snowmass Mountain Mission is an app based, village-wide scavenger hunt designed to challenge creativity, test Snowmass knowledge, and enhance selfie skills. Bud Light Game of Stones: Curling returns to Snowmass with the ever popular Game of Stones curling series on The Rink in Snowmass Base Village. Running (most) Thursdays starting December 22 through the end of February, teams of two compete in a head to head elimination competition. The first team to reach 10 points wins! Ullr Nights: In honor of the Norse God of Snow, Ullr, Ullr Nights return to Snowmass this winter season. Take an evening gondola ride up the Elk Camp Gondola to the Elk Camp Restaurant for winter themed fun, including tubing, rides on the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, snowbiking, a bonfire, s’mores, and hot cocoa. Audi FIS Ski World Cup, March 3-5, 2023: Aspen Snowmass welcomes the return of international ski racing this season with the Audi FIS Ski World Cup, scheduled for March 3-5, 2023. The top men in the in the world compete on the America’s Downhill course on Aspen Mountain, an iconic World Cup venue with decades of racing history, with two downhills and a super G scheduled March 3-5, 2023. Aspen Snowmass hosted the first World Championships held outside of Europe in 1950 and the mountain has hosted innumerable ski racing legends since that time. Aspen Snowmass has hosted more than 100 World Cup races for both men and women over the years and was home to the World Cup Finals in 2017.
