Snowmass Village, Colo., (May 5, 2022) – Celebrating 30 years of free live music this summer, the Snowmass Free Concert Series, a local’s favorite, long standing summer tradition, returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening, June 16-August 25, 2022. Doors open at 5:30pm with the show starting at 6:30pm.
The 30th Anniversary season sees the debut of new bands to the Fanny Hill Stage, as well as nods to Fanny Hill concert’s past including bands who have graced the stage previously. The series kicks off on June 16th with returning favorite Hot Buttered Rum. This first concert will also feature commemorative concert giveaways and a 30th Anniversary celebration. Other acts returning in 2022 include the Freddy Jones Band and Hazel Miller, while exciting new acts include MarchFourth, Spazmatics, and The Altons. The weekly outdoor series features a spectrum of sounds including country, bluegrass, big band, soul, jazz, reggae, rock & roll, and folk. New this summer is a fun Latin night, featuring Los Mocochetes, aimed to welcome the local Latino community and all Latin music lovers.
“Thirty years of free live music in Snowmass is a significant milestone,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “We are thrilled to celebrate this anniversary by further investing in ways that will enhance the Fanny Hill experience for the community. And, it will be great to host both new and returning bands on the Fanny Hill Stage. This summer’s series will certainly be one for the books.”
New this season, guests will see an improved Fanny Hill concert venue, including a new stage roof; new dedicated crusher fine pathways, aisles, and dance floor; a new entry area complete with flowers and updated branding; and new signage and logo’d fencing. Also new for this summer season are two custom branded Snowmass container bars, which replace the tented bars in the venue. In addition, the Electric Dandelions, which first debuted during the Winter 2021/2022 Snowmass Luminescence, will bring their dazzling display to the Fanny Hill hillside. These giant steel and acrylic sculptures represent dandelion flowers during the day and come to life at night as an endless firework display.
In addition to the Snowmass Free Concert Series on Thursday evenings, Snowmass is home to free live music throughout the season on Fanny Hill and at restaurants and venues around Snowmass Village, including two bonus concerts on Fanny Hill on Sunday, July 3 for the Independence Day Weekend Celebration & Concert and on Saturday, August 27, part of Snowmass Rendezvous.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic, order to-go, and/or support local Snowmass businesses before or after the concert. Outside food and sealed non-alcoholic beverages are allowed. No open containers or personal alcohol of any kind is permitted. No dogs are allowed.
Attendance is expected to be high this summer and parking is limited. Please utilize the free parking at Town Park, carpool, or take RFTA or Snowmass Village Transit.
